And sometimes love approaches us in ways that are unimaginable. Unexpectedly, and by complete surprise.
Ladies and gentlemen meet Da'Vita and Wesley. I had the honor of working with them for their engagement session, and to witness the love they have for each other was simply amazing. I've never met a couple that completed each other's sentences. I mean seriously, they said things at the same time. LOL. They were so in synch until I was shocked.
The great thing about their story is that they met at Coastal Carolina University. One day just hanging out with friends, I'm sure they caught each other's eyes and it was like fireworks. Since then their relationship has blossomed into a story of pure love.
It’s amazing how one simple decision (attending college) can develop into a story of not just receiving a college degree, but also meeting the man or woman of your dreams.
Being able to share the moment with them made me feel thrilled and overjoyed. While witnessing them smile, laugh, and engage with each other was a simple reminder of how love still exists.
I can't wait to photograph their wedding in September. I'm sure the day will be filled with joy, delight, and cheerfulness.
May this engagement session remind us all that love can be found ANYWHERE by making a simple decision to attend college because you may just meet the man or woman of your dreams.
XOXO,
ARich
Selecting your vendors for your wedding day isn't easy, nor is the process of selecting your closest friends to be a part of your special day. I mean who wants to cross off their friend from the seventh grade that helped you in one of your most embarrassing moments in school. Or that college roommate that's been extremely helpful with giving you advice when you needed it the most. Man, I know that both processes can be both stressful, overwhelming and mind-boggling.
Narrowing your list of vendors can be the same way. Hectic, and almost like a rat race. I mean REALLY. Just as selecting from a pool of friends, so is selecting from vendors. Where people are extremely talented in their craft in a world where it seems like "EVERYONE'S DOING IT".
Although I can't tell you who to select to be your bridesmaid or maid of honor, what I can tell you is HOW TO select your vendor for your special day.
1. Were you ever in a wedding before? Ask the Bride who she selected to be a vendor at her wedding, and if you REALLY liked and connected with the vendor she selected then there you have it.
2. Look through social media to see who people are RAVING about. YES! Nowadays gossip is no longer a phone call away, it's a click away.
3. Ask your closest relative or friends if there are any suggestions. I'm sure they know of someone in the area who can accommodate your needs.
4. Decide if you are connected to that vendor. Most of the time brides select vendors that have similar interest, and personalities. Connecting with your vendor will not only make your day easier, but you will be able to finish planning your wedding with ease.
5. Lastly, select someone you trust, and work that you admire. Technology is increasing, and so is the pool of vendors. Finding someone you trust is worthwhile. Just like selecting that Bridesmaid.
-Happy Planning!

A few weeks later, I received a call from one of her closest friends saying how they would love to schedule a photo shoot with me. I then said, “YES!” With excitement and joy, I immediately thought of ways I could bring comfort and joy from behind the camera lens, and most of all tell her story.
As I prepared for the session one of the first things I done was set my intentions for the shoot. I wanted to make sure I was in the right mindset to create a beautiful, blissful, and memorable experience for everyone.
As I got my camera, and prepared for the shoot I gave Thanks to God for allowing me to tell someone’s story in a way that will touch the lives, and hearts of others.
During the session, she and I were able to converse about how her parents passed away, and how she was coping with things, which in any case is hard, and challenging. She talked about how her Mom’s name was Angel, and how she wanted to name her daughter Angel in memory of her Mother.
From her amazing story, which was full of hope and love, I was inspired to give her comfort and joy. Even if it was just for an hour.
That hour was one of the best experiences of my life. TriSha, her friends and I were able to smile, laugh, and find humor in anyway possible.
I was able to pose her in a way to complimented her beauty, and celebrate the life that was growing inside of her. To me I was able to help heal her wounds from the other side of the lens.
With every photo that I took, I gave Thanks. I wanted to give every part of me to make her feel confident, beautiful, and most of all loved.
We ALL have experienced at some point hurt, pain, and disappointments in life. Sometimes our healing comes with time, or with an elegant smile (even if it’s just for a moment). With this session, I wanted to create a sense of comfort to her. Letting each photo play as a constant reminder that regardless if there is pain, one still holds a gentle SMILE. To be a reminder of how God’s Angels are shining down, looking on her as a beacon of light, and a ray of sunshine.
Of all the times I’ve taken photos, this one was special…
May your loved one’s continue to smile down on you as you give birth to your daughter, Angel.
With Love,
Alisha

Throughout the day Leslie Menich with Memorable Moments Wedding and Event Planning was able to plan and direct a perfect wedding and timeline with smooth transitions. Not only did she ensure that the day was memorable, but was able to assist both the bride and groom with whatever they needed throughout the day.
The groom, Shone wore a white and gray tuxedo from JoS A. Banks of Myrtle Beach. Not only was the combination of a gray and white tuxedo the perfect match, but it showed how unique his style of choice and color was.
During the reception Global Truth Entertainment of Myrtle Beach, SC kept the crowd dancing with a mixture of songs throughout the reception to keep guest energized and well engaged.
As the reception proceeded, both the bride and groom were ecstatic to cut their cake which was done by Croissants Bakery. The combination of red velvet, vanilla, and buttercream icing not only added flavor, but the color combination made the cake very unique using the pattern of chevron.
Nearby friends and family were able to enjoy the silver sequin backdrop provided by ShutterBooth. All Attendees were able to take fun photos using props to provide the bride and groom with memorable moments; which will later be presented to both the bride and groom in the form of a scrap book.
While working closely with Kyle of Heart to Hart Media we were able to work in a timely manner to ensure that the wedding experience was both fun, and exciting for the bride and groom.
Thanks again to Mr. & Mrs. Coffield for allowing me to be a part of your special day <3

At the beginning of the day as Sherilynn and Kiah got prepared, it was evident that both had butterflies. This couple was extremely excited, and both nervous at the same time. As the day proceeded, they were able to exchange there vows to love, honor, and obey each other for eternity. Witnessing this couple at the alter was evident that love is not only sacred, but is a union where two individuals share the laughs, and joys, of marriage.
It was an honor to witness the first day of marriage to a couple I've had the privilege of working with more than once.
Thanks Sherilynn and Kiah for trusting me to capture one of the most important days of your lives.

As they danced the night away it was evident that this couple genuinely loved each other, and their family.

On a perfect summer day, Kara and Donell exchanged their vows at the Marina Inn of Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Temples planned their wedding all the way from Tennessee. Kara and Donell ensured that their day was perfect by choosing the perfect venue, wedding vendors, and decor. The Temples’ wedding complimented their unique style and personalities. After so many months of planning Kara and Donell were able to enjoy the night which was filled with fun, laughter, and joy.
As Kara walked down the aisle to see Donell for the first time on their wedding day, she took his breath away. Donell gazed into her eyes as they exchanged vows. Surrounded by the family at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes, the couple promised to love, honor, and cherish for the rest of their lives and sealed their devotion with a kiss, which is the beginning of something new. Together.
I absolutely love the way Kara and Donell love each other. Both Kara and Donell exemplify what it is to have a distinct care and devotion... Together I wish you all a lifetime of happiness and joy! -ARich

Juanita and Reginald ended the night with guest and family members telling them how significant there love is for each other. I wish Reginald and Juanita a lifetime of success.
On Sunday morning, they ended off the celebration with high praises to God. Being a part of the worship service took me back to days where hand clapping, feet stomping, and glorifying God was authentic. The atmosphere was full of excitement as the church was able give praises to God for allowing them to be blessed with such an awesome Pastor. The Gamble Family presented gifts, and tokens of love and appreciation to a man that deserves recognition for the handwork and dedication that he put towards the ministry. Thank You to the Ebenezer Church Family for allowing me to be a part of such a joyous occasion.
Kara and Donell will be joined in marriage on August 22, 2015, and I honestly can't wait to photograph their wedding. I wish Kara and Donell all the joy, and I will see them as they join each other in marriage.
With Love, -ARich
The highlight of the ceremony was when Tara decided to do a surprise dance by Jennifer Hudson, "I Love You I Do" the dance was full of emotion, excitement, and really FUN! Tara and Jimmy were able to share an intimate moment after the ceremony by having the guest blow bubbles, which was one of the most special moments from the day.
From witnessing their union, I was able to see and feel how both Tara and Jimmy love each other genuinely. From the ceremony, and even during the reception, I could tell that the two of them were a match made in heaven. I truly wish this couple a lifetime of happiness and joy as they spend a lifetime together! With Love, -ARich
The catering, and decor was done by Everyday Catering. The vases were very elegant, and sophisticated. The colors were gold, and black, and the tables were accented with beautiful dinning items. The team provided superb services to the guest by serving each guest, and ensuring that each attendee were pleased.
I truly enjoyed spending my night with Russel and his family. While attending Russel's retirement party, I've been able to learn a lot of Russel. His party was full of fun, enthusiasm, laughter, and tears. Russell retired from Santee Cooper after working 35 years. Russel's wife and family had wonderful comments about Russel's work ethic. Russel was described as a man that has worked diligently at Santee Cooper, and also at home. Russell ensured that he would teach his children good work ethic by providing them with the tools they needed to be successful. Photographing this Retirement Party gave me a chance to see how there are still great men, and Russel is indeed one of them. One thing that I've learned, is that regardless of what life brings, it's important to stick to your vision and dream as Russel did, and because he was and is so determined, he's able to retire.
One of the highlights of the night was seeing Russel dance. I could tell that he has a lot of spunk, and keeps up with modern day music. Seeing him enjoy himself at his party showed how one can always have fun! I wish Russel well, and I hope he has many more years to enjoy his family, and retirement.

The Davis Family Reunion was full of love, and devotion. The Davis Family decided to have a reunion at the Myrtle Beach Recreational Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. The colors they was used were black, red, and white. The chair covers gave the event a very sleek, and sophisticated look. From attending the event, I could tell that the family is close knit, and has a strong Faith in God. This family exhibited what it really means to be a family. The elders of the family was able to talk about how important it is for a family that prays together, is a family that stays together. At the reunion, families came from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Rochester New York, and other states. I really enjoyed spending the night with the family because my staff and I were able to laugh, smile, and most of all, capture the moment!
One of the key elements to the program was to see how important The Davis Family emphasized education. Three recipients were able to receive monetary funds in effort to continue the family's strong legacy to continue educating the youth.
The atmosphere was full of families that were smiling and embracing the moment. The highlight of the event was the singing. I could tell that The Davis Family uses harmony to unite, and show their spiritual gratitude for God. Being at this family reunion has made me realize how important it is for families to unite for a special occasion, and that is to learn their history, and to tell the story. One of the most special moments was seeing how the family was able to document their history from as early as the 1800s. I TRULY enjoyed my time with The Davis Family! -ARich

The ceremony was very intimate. As Erica walked down the aisle gracefully, one could tell that she was full of excitement, and joy. Their union was so passionate, until it brought tears to my eyes. Being a part of there special day was both an honor, and a privilege. The wedding party was very hilarious, and fun! The peak of the day was witnessing the sparkles. I truly enjoyed spending the day with Omar and Erica, and wouldn't have rather done anything else on July 4th! -ARich

The highlight of the ceremony was witnessing the couple as they danced to Silento's song, "Watch Me (whip/ Nae Nae)," captivated the audience by seeing how the couple choreographered for the occasion. It is evident that Kelvin and Patricia put a lot of thought, and effort in making their 25th Anniversary not only special, but humorous. It was a pleasure working with the couple, and I sure do know who's house to go to when I need a good laugh!
